What do you do now ?
If you would like to apply for any of the LEADER+ funding streams, the first step is to contact the North West Devon LEADER+ office. The LEADER+ team can advise you on which type of grant your proposal would be eligible for. If LEADER+ cannot fund your project we will always try to direct you to a funding stream that meets your requirements.
We are able to offer support at all stages of the LEADER+ application process.
Who makes decisions & When ?
The Local Action Group makes decisions on larger projects. This "committee" meets six times a year. Applications must be submitted to the LEADER+ office at least six weeks before the meeting they will be discussed at. The Local Action Group can approve or reject applications, or request additional information to help them to reach a decision.
For smaller grants, the panels are made up from Local Action Group members and other local "experts". They meet roughly once a month. Applications should reach us at least two weeks before the meeting that they will be discussed at. As with larger projects, the panel can approve, reject or request additional information.
For information on meeting dates please contact the LEADER+ office.
What happens if my application is approved?
Again this will vary according to the type of grant that you have applied for.
For smaller grants, you will receive an offer letter from North West Devon LEADER+ that sets out the terms and conditions of the grant.
For larger projects the offer letter will come from the Government Office for the South West.
In either case, you will need to sign and retun the offer letter to allow you to take up the grant offer.
The North West Devon LEADER+ team will be in regular contact with you to monitor the progress of your project and help you to claim your grant.
