The Business Start-Up Fund helped new rural businesses and the self-employed with inital start-up costs.

Legal Support (patents, incorporation, contracts, health & safety)
Financial Advice (Tax, PAYE)
Market Research
Human Resources Advice
Information Computer Technology
Early Days Employment Costs

How much grant was available?

Grants were up to 50% of the eligible costs up to a maximum of £5000.

Eligibility

Applicants had to be based within the North West Devon LEADER+ area
Projects had to demonstrate the need for funding
Applicants must not be eligible for any other existing EU funding.

Current Success Stories.

The Business Start-Up Fund will run untill 31st December 2005. The amount of funding available is limited and as such applications will be considered on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Businesses can only obtain one grant from the North West Devon LEADER+ programme.
