Arms Of Old - Lee & Hazel Gear
Arms of Old commenced trading November 2004 with the aim of actively promoting and teaching the traditional skill of archery and to educate the younger generation about the historical events that surround archery in English medieval history. They also sell medieval equipment.
Arms of Old was awarded a Business Support & Development Grant towards the costs of equipment, marketing and training. As a result of the grant Arms of Old will be able to expand and improve productivity, offer a professional service to customers, increase sales, provide additional income into the area and create two new part-time jobs in the long-term future.
Devon Academy of Complementary Therapy - Gail & Derek Lowe
Devon Academy aims to be a centre of teaching excellence in the field of Complementary Therapy, offering courses accredited by the International Therapy Examination Council together with specialist non accredited courses on a post graduate basis.
Mr & Mrs Lowe were successful in obtaining a Business Support & Development Grant towards the cost of equipment and marketing. With the support of the grant it has enabled Mr & Mrs Lowe to start their business, provide new training skills for the local community, continual professional development for existing therapists, introduce additional income into the area and gain entry into new markets.
