Business Development Fund (Closed)

The Business Development Fund enabled existing rural businesses and the self-employed to maintain and develop their business

What did we support?

Purchase Equipment
Retail linked to rural products
Developing marketing
Bringing together local distribution networks
Increase local marketing and networking
Encourage co-operative processing and retailing
Land development and recycling

How much grant was available?

Grants were 50% of the eligible costs up to a maximum of £5000.

Eligibility

Businesses must:-
Be based within the North West Devon LEADER+ area.
Employ the equivalent to 10 full-time or less.
Have been trading for at least six months.
Demonstrate the need for funding.
Applicants must not be eligible for any other EU funding.

Current Success Stories

The Business Development Fund closed on the 31st December 2004. The amount of funding available was limited and as such applications were considered on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Businesses could only obtain one grant from the North West Devon LEADER+ programme.
