Access To The Countryside

The Access To The Countryside will help rural business and community groups to open up the countryside in a sustainable way to locals and visitors

What can we support?

Creating new access points
Rural visitor management on working farmland
Locally sourced innovative signage
Farm based access and environmental improvements
Creating, opening up and promoting new tourism products
Development of "peace and quiet" viewpoint areas
Improve internal marketing, information management and networking

How much grant could you receive?

For businesses, grants will be up to 50% of the eligible costs.  
For community groups, grants will be up to 75% of the eligible costs.

Am I eligible for a grant?

Businesses and Community Groups must:-

Be based within the North West Devon LEADER+ area
Demonstrate the need for funding
Demonstrate community support
Applicants must not be eligible for any other EU funding

Current Success Stories

The Access To The Countryside will run untill 31st December 2006. The amount of funding available is limited and as such applications will be considered on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Businesses and Community Groups can only obtain one grant from the North West Devon LEADER+ programme.
